We keep our groups small to provide a more personal, flexible, and meaningful experience, whether you're chasing the Northern Lights, exploring hidden fjords, or hiking scenic trails. No big buses or staged experiences just real adventures, guided by locals who love what they do.

The Story

Why Rise Adventure Came To Be

Rise Adventures isn’t just a tour company, we are a community of explorers, storytellers, and Arctic nature lovers.

Born from a deep passion for the wilderness, we set out to create something different: a place where travelers don't just visit the Arctic, but truly become part of it.

The idea for Rise Adventures came to life when I, Jørgen Rise, was working at a stone quarry after high school. I didn’t know what I wanted from life yet, but I knew it had to involve the outdoors. With encouragement from a supportive boss and a stubborn drive to create something meaningful, I founded Rise Adventures at nineteen years old.

It took almost three years, years filled with military service, hard work, and learning from other guiding companies before I welcomed my first guests. Through it all, the dream stayed the same: to offer real Arctic experiences, far beyond the typical checklist tourism.

We believe in slow travel, meaningful experiences, and building real human connections where we are not rushing from sight to sight.

Rise Adventures started with just me, a local passionate about sharing the Arctic.

The next step is to welcome one or two more local guides who share this vision, guides who aren't chasing numbers, but are passionate about the land and the people they meet.

Eventually, we dream of building small Arctic hubs like farms, cabins, and homes where travellers can experience true Northern living, staying with local guides and becoming part of daily Arctic life.
